About HILI: We Didn't Start With Technology. We Started With Reality.
HILI is an AI-powered operating platform for senior living communities, developed by HILI Technologies and Innovation Ltd in Rehovot, Israel. It connects facilities, resident management, clinic scheduling, dining, activities and community messaging in one system used by staff, residents and families. Today about 20% of Israel's senior living communities use HILI daily, with more than 5,000 residents and 800 staff members.
Finding a purpose
Our co-founder and CEO, Ido Elenberg, was 32 and had no experience in senior living when he became responsible for a community of 70 residents whose average age was 85. As he got to know the residents, their stories and the lives behind every door, an unfamiliar challenge became a deep personal connection.
From one community to ten
Over the years he went from managing a single community to leading a network of ten, with hundreds of residents and employees. As the network grew, so did the complexity: sticky notes, endless Excel sheets, handwritten notebooks and systems that didn't talk to each other. Employees worked incredibly hard but felt overwhelmed, and families couldn't always see the work being done. The problem was never a lack of care or commitment. It was a lack of systems built around people.
Why we built HILI
We built HILI to take that experience beyond the walls of one network: a manager who can see what's happening without chasing information, an employee who spends less time on repetitive tasks and more time with residents, and a resident who can easily discover activities and feel part of community life. We don't want technology to replace the human side of senior living. We want it to make more room for it.
